How your course is graded
Each course explains its grading in its Introduction & Resources module. The rules depend on the kind of course.
PD courses

PD courses are graded for completion. You earn the course's full hours when you complete it, however long it takes you, and the hours appear on your certificate.
Graduate credit courses

You need 80% of the total points to pass. The course links to a grading rubric at modelteaching.com/rubrics (opens in a new tab).
If a submission scores below 80%, you can resubmit it once. More than one resubmission is at our discretion.
Quick Courses
Only the quiz is scored. You need 80% on the quiz, and you can retake it as many times as you need. The short reflection isn't part of your grade. See Quick Course certificates.
How long grading takes
Instructors review reflections and assignments within 24 to 48 hours, and pending submissions in credit courses are scored within 1 to 2 business days. You can keep working while you wait. If it's taking longer than that, contact us.
