Taking and retaking quizzes

Quizzes check your understanding of each section's ideas. Every question shows an explanation after you submit, and you can retake a quiz to raise your score.

Take a quiz

1. Open the quiz module. The left panel shows how many questions you've answered and the list of questions.
2. Click an answer. Some questions accept more than one answer.
3. Click Next Question, or click a question in the left panel to jump to it.
4. On the last question, click Submit Quiz.

Read your results

Your results show your Total Score, your Attempts, and each question with Your Answer, the Correct Answer, and an Explanation.

Retake a quiz

1. Click Retake Quiz.
2. A message warns that the new attempt replaces your current score, even if the new score is lower. Click Retake Quiz to continue.
3. Answer the questions and submit again.

How quiz scores count

A quiz shows 100% Completed once you submit it, whatever your score. What counts after that depends on the course:

• PD courses are graded for completion, so a submitted quiz counts.
• Graduate credit courses add quiz points toward the 80% you need to pass, so retake a quiz to raise a low score.
• Quick Courses need 80% or higher on the quiz before your certificate appears.
