Pennsylvania: Act 48 and PERMS

Model Teaching is an approved Act 48 provider, and 1 PD hour counts as 1 Act 48 hour. We report your completed courses to PERMS for you.

What you need to do

Near the end of every course, the IMPORTANT - Certificate Requirements module has a short form that collects your PPID and the other details PDE needs. Fill it in for every course, before you submit the course. There's nothing else to click.

We upload completed courses to PERMS about twice a week, usually on Tuesdays and Fridays, and we email you when your hours are uploaded.

My hours aren't in PERMS

Almost every time, the form wasn't submitted for that course. Open the course's IMPORTANT - Certificate Requirements module and submit the form. Your hours go up with the next upload.

If you submitted the form and your hours still aren't there after the next upload, contact us with the course title and the email address on your account.

Up against a deadline?

If you have courses waiting to be graded and a renewal deadline coming, tell our team. We can ask for your courses to be graded before the next PERMS upload.
