Filling in your templates: Word, the PDF generator, or Google Docs
Assignments that use a template give you three ways to fill it in. Pick whichever suits your device.
Microsoft Word (easiest)
Click DOWNLOAD THE WORD DOCUMENT in the assignment, fill in the template, save it, and upload it.
The PDF generator (no Word needed)
The purple NON-WORD PDF GENERATOR button opens an online form for the same template at forms.modelteaching.com. You type your answers and download a finished PDF. It works on computers, tablets, and phones.
-
In the assignment, click NON-WORD PDF GENERATOR.
-
Fill in each field. For "Select one or more" questions, check at least one box, or the form stops with "Please select at least 1 option."
-
Click Generate my PDF. The PDF downloads to your device's Downloads folder.
-
Go back to your course, click Click to upload your submission, and choose the PDF. See Submitting your final plan.
Open your PDF and check it before you upload it. Can't find the file? Click I can't find my downloaded file on the form for steps on Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad, Chromebook, and Android.
Saving your place
The form saves your answers on your device as you type. Come back in the same browser and choose Continue where you left off. Your answers don't follow you to another computer, so on a shared or school computer, click Clear my saved data when you're done.
Google Docs
Google Docs works too, but your course needs the finished plan as a PDF:
- Open Google Docs and upload the Word template you downloaded from the assignment.
- Fill it in.
- Choose File, then Download, then PDF Document.
- Upload that PDF to your course.
